The discovery was a result of a home video that went viral.

The scientists were sceptical during the first stages of the research due to lack of incomplete information.

One scientist pointed out that the reaction of the cat could have been due to other factors such as intoxication but other scientists ruled that theory as absurd as cats are not known as alcoholic consumers.
