While the police is asking the public for help to identify the man, the assault that took place at Nathan Phillips Square against a journalist, was right in front of many Toronto police officers that were asked right there and then to act.
The man that was assaulted is a Toronto Sun photographer, Stan Behal, that was attacked during an anti-racism protest at Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday, Aug. 11, while doing his job.
The video below clearly shows the attack and the police officers standing and watching.
