Today the chief of police in Lyon held a press conference to thank the yellow vest protesters for continuing the fight but this time against each other.
“The separation of yellow vests in two groups, left and right, and the escalating violence between the groups has given the police officers the opportunity to take the day off and get the much needed rest.”
The chief requests for a day off for the police officers were denied by the yellow vests on various occasions.
“I’m confident that the officers will be rested enough to continue their efforts to crack some bones by tomorrow.”- the chief continued.
Lately police officers have been complaining about lack of sleep due to adrenaline excitement and sore arm and shoulders due to excessive baton use.
