Google Merchants has suspended a Canadian Company account over a non-alcoholic item that the business has on sale.
It seems that Google can’t tell the difference between alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages in its writing system.
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed to be sold in Ontario, Canada to persons under the age of 19 and cannot be allowed to cross the province.
Non alcoholic beverages on the other hand are not restricted by the above provincial rules.
It seems that Google Merchants needs to figure out what the rules are for each province in Canada and support small businesses and figure out how to tell the difference between alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages.
